I also used Numbers to keep track of all of our financials - its ability to have multiple tabs (for the lack of a better term) on one document that could cross-link and cross-reference each other was phenomenal. I developed a lot of custom Pages documents that had embedded spreadsheets for different types of reports and saved them as templates.
